Measuring Bra-Band Size
It is medically unhealthy to wear a bra that is bigger or smaller the bust size. Ladies are advised to measure their band size in order to get a bra that not only holds their breasts firmly but also comfortably.
To measure the band size, get a tape measure and run it round the body directly under the bust. They must ensure that they exhale before checking on their measure. They should not hold the measure too high or too low from the bust because they will get wrong figures. Closer to the bust means a higher figure while lower from the bust will give a lower measure which may give a plus size bras or far too small for them.
Always round off the reading measurement to the closest whole inch either up or down. If the closest inches are ½”, maintain the whole figure but if it is or above ½” round off the next whole figure for instance. 28 ½” will be 29” etc.
If the resulting figure the lady gets is an even number (one it’s been rounded off), she must add 4” to the figure, that is, 28” will be 28”+4”= 32” but if she gets an odd number, she will add 5” to the figure for instance 29” will be 29”+5”= 34”. The final result will be her band size.
A person can easily know if she will wear large size bras or those with smaller band sizes without hurting their skin or bust.
